Angular contact ball bearings are also called angular contact radial thrust ball bearings. This kind of bearing is particularly suitable for bearing combined loads (radial load and axial load) as well as pure axial load, and can run at relatively high speeds. The axial load carrying capacity of angular contact ball bearings will vary with the size of the contact angle. The larger the contact angle, the better the axial load carrying capacity. The allowable angular error of single row contact ball bearings is limited. The angular error of the inner ring and outer ring depends on the radial clearance, bearing size, internal structure and the force or moment acting on the bearing. Any angle error will cause noise. This type of bearing is mainly used for machine tool spindles, gearboxes, reducers and superchargers.
Angular contact ball bearing are also called angular contact centripetal thrust ball bearing. This type of bearing is particularly suitable for occasions that bear both radial and axial loads, and can also be used for applications that bear pure axial
loads, and allows higher operating speeds. The size of the axial load borne by this type of bearing changes with the size of the contact angle. The larger the contact angle, the larger the axial load that the bearing can bear.
Single row angular contact ball bearings can only carry axial loads in one direction. It is mainly used for the configuration where each support has only one bearing.
The design of double row angular contact ball bearings is basically the same as that of single row angular contact ball bearings. However, the axial size is relatively small. Double row angular contact ball bearings have good rigidity,
can bear bidirectional axial load, and can also bear a certain overturning moment. Its practical effect is similar to the two single row angular contact ball bearings arranged back to back similar.
Double row angular contact ball
bearings consist of an outer ring and an inner ring (or two inner rings).
Four point contact ball bearing is a single row angular contact ball bearing with double half inner ring or double half outer ring, which is a separable structure. This kind of bearing has the application characteristics of mounting bearings in pairs, which can bear bidirectional axial load and limit axial displacement in two directions, but it occupies less axial space than double row angular contact ball bearings of the same specification. Due to the double half inner ring (or outer ring), the number of steel balls installed increases, so it has a larger load-bearing capacity. The installation and disassembly of the bearing is also very convenient.
